Fancy Fridays, anyone? Once upon a time, offices held “Casual Fridays,” but now every day is casual. So casual that below the blouse, a lot of us are sporting PJs. That is great. Gen Z’s rejection of skinny jeans and our collective abandonment of buttons in general? I am all for that. Starting the day in yoga pants, taking a spin class over lunch, and then changing into comfortable clothes after a quick shower helps me relax and, therefore, focus on doing the actual work. But what if we got a little fancy on Fridays? Just enough for a personal confidence boost? Dressing up daily (especially if you aren’t attending virtual meetings) is silly. A cute outfit might be the pick-me-up you need to kick off your weekend in the best frame of mind. Let’s start a new weekly ritual tomorrow!
